Individual students can now place reservations for the Smith Room - up to 24 hours in advance.
Who Can Make a Same-Day Reservation?
Individual UC Davis students can book the Smith Room (located on the MU 4th floor) for small group projects (group size 2-10), exams, appointments, interviews, etc. Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance. This process does not apply to Departments and RSOs. Departments and RSOs should book the space via the standard process via CES.
How to Make a Same-Day Reservations
To place a same-day reservation, visit the Memorial Union Information Desk on the day you want to use the Smith Room.
- Students can place reservations for that day or the next day. Must be within building hours.
- Please be prepared to show your student ID.
- Same-Day reservations are only accepted in-person or over the phone. Call the MU Info Desk at (530) 752-2222.
- Email reservations are not accepted.
- Students can reserve the room for up to 2 hours at a time.
- At the end of the 2 hours, if the room is still available, students can extend the reservation for another 2 hours by contacting the Info Desk.
- Students are not permitted to use the LCD Screen for same-day reservations as it's locked, and cannot move the furniture.
- Programming is not permitted for same-day reservations.
- The Smith Room is located on the Memorial Union 4th floor.
