Bowling at the Games Area
The Games Area offers 12 bowling lanes for UC Davis students and the community. Bring your friends to play a quick game or rent out a lane by the hour! Bowling shoes are required, bring your own socks.
We recommend accounting for 4-6 people per lane, as that works best to get though a game (10 frames of bowling) in an hour.

Payment & Rates
Bowling games and shoe rental are paid before playing. Reservations are charged for the actual time and number of shoes used, not based on the reservation.
Waitlist & Time Limits
There is no fixed time limit on gameplay unless a waitlist forms. When a waitlist is active, gameplay is capped at 1 hour per group to give everyone a chance to play. Staff will announce whenever a waitlist is opened and time limits go into effect.
Examples: How the Waitlist Works
- If you started bowling before the waitlist opened (under 1 hour of play): Enjoy your game! If you reach the 1-hour mark while a waitlist is still active, please wrap up your session so the next group can play.
- If you’ve already been bowling for more than 1 hour when a waitlist opens: Staff will approach your lane and politely let you know that a waitlist has started. You will have 15–20 minutes to finish your current game before turning over the lane.
- If there is NO waitlist active: You are welcome to extend your session and keep bowling as long as lanes remain available!
