Reservations and Events

The Games Area offers bowling lane reservations for up to 8 lanes, as well as Full Facility Rentals for private events. The Rec Room is included with any Full Facility Rental.  It can also be added to a reservation of at least 2 lanes.  

We take phone-in reservations up to an hour before the reservation time. Call the Games Area at (530) 752-2580.
Please note that Full Facility Reservations and lane reservations that include the Rec Room must be placed using the appropriate form below. 

Before submitting a request, review the Games Area availability page and keep the following in mind:
• Reservations are capped at 8 lanes. Requests for more than 8 lanes require a Full Facility Rental, since 4 lanes must remain available at all times for drop-in play.
• Lane reservations depend on the number of operational lanes available at the time of your event. Availability may shift due to maintenance or repairs.

For campus departments, 
payment should be made using a Chart of Accounts (COA) rather than an Entertainment Card.
reservations should be made using the Google form rather than over the phone so that the COA can be recorded.
 

Please allow 3 business days to receive a response to reservation requests.

Bowling Lane Reservations

Use the form to reserve bowling lanes, billiards tables, Gunrock Gaming, or console gaming. Please note that reservations are unavailable after 4 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays.
  • You can reserve between 2-8 lanes.
  • About 4 people can bowl one game, on one lane, within about an hour including the time to get shoes and pick out your ball.
  • Lanes will be held for 15 minutes after your reservation time as a courtesy.
  • If paying by recharge, please provide the full Chart of Account string, including the recharge number, on the form.
  • Reservation requests must be submitted at least 3 business days in advance.
  • Be sure to check the Games Area availability page for existing reservations. If there's a scheduling conflict, we will work with you to adjust your reservation time.
  • Lane reservations are subject to availability based on the number of operating lanes at the time of your event.
  • Charges are based on actual number of lanes, time lapsed and shoes used at the time of event.

Full Facility Rental

Host a private event at the Games Area with a Full Facility Rental!

For a flat rate your event will have exclusive access to all the Games Area services, including the new Rec Room. We'll also provide a dedicated Event Host to ensure everything runs smoothly. To reserve the space, please submit an reservation request at least 7 business days in advance.

Rates (Minimum 2 hours):

  • Registered Student Organizations & Sport Clubs: 
    $1,000 for the first 2 hours, $500 for each additional hour
  • University Community: 
    $1,200 for the first 2 hours, $600 for each additional hour
  • Non-Campus Groups: 
    $1,600 for the first 2 hours, $800 for each additional hour

Please note that Full Facility Rentals are unavailable after 4 p.m. on Fridays, and all day on Saturdays and holidays.
Lane reservations are subject to availability based on the number of operating lanes at the time of your event.
