Event Date
The Memorial Day Ceremony honors our Gold Star Aggies, those 136 students who lost their lives in military service from World War I to the present.
We’ll begin the event at 12noon with light refreshments, including a lemonade bar, yogurt with red and blue berries, and cookies. The formal program will follow shortly thereafter and includes remarks from Chancellor Gary May, a keynote from Professor Emeritus Arthur B. Dublin, and a ceremonial reading of the names of the Gold Star Aggies.
For more information on the event please read the Dateline article about the 2023 ceremony. You may also visit The Golden Memory Book—an online archive of the 136 names that appear in the physical Golden Memory Book that resides in the Memorial Union on the UC Davis main campus.
